You’ll get exclusive use of the venue and all areas. We also include:

What is The Trust’s Capacity?

The Trust can host:

350 guests cocktail

252 guests seated

 

How does an event usually run?

3.00pm Access to The Trust

5.00pm Guest arrival

6.00pm Canapés, custom cocktail and drinks

7.00pm Reception

9.00pm Party

11.00pm-12.00am Event finish and venue closure

The above timings are just an example of how your event could run, your Planner will collaborate with you to build out a run sheet and custom timings bespoke to your event.

How do our guests get there?

The Trust is located at 405 Flinders Lane, Melbourne. Limited on-street parking is available, but public transport is close by.

Are there any outdoor spaces?

Sadly, no. However, the front of the building is truly grand and iconic – it’s the perfect spot for some snaps. There are also a number of great locations around the area for photography, which you can read about here.

Can we use an external caterer or BYO alcohol?

We have exceptional in-house catering at The Trust, however, we do allow external catering and beverages for cultural reasons or on a case by case basis. If there is a special beverage you want to bring in on top of your catering package, this can be arranged. Chat to us about your requirements and we can provide the best options to suit your needs.

How do we hit the minimum spend?

At The Trust, we’re all about versatility. If your chosen food and beverage package cost does not meet the minimum spend required, you can add on custom touches with our in-house services to meet your minimum spend, including event planning, extra florals, photography, videography, custom stationery, or hand-picked cocktails.

Can I bring in external hire furniture for my event? 

You absolutely can, keeping in mind this needs to be set during bump in hours, and bumped out during bump out hours.

Depending on the external items hired, if we cannot store our furniture on-site (as we have very limited storage), there will be a fee involved in removing our in house furniture from the venue.

Am I able to bump out the day after my event?

All items must be removed and bumped out of the venue during bump out, the same day as your event.

What does our journey look like if we book a planner from The Goodsmiths?

Our Planners and Stylists from The Goodsmiths are highly experienced in curating unique event experiences. They build your dream day by handling all of the nitty-gritty details, while also transforming The Trust to suit your personality, vision and love story. The team removes the admin burden delivering a completely seamless event that looks like your Pinterest dreams.

Initially, you will be introduced to our planning team. Next, you’ll meet your Planner (12 months out from your event date), and they will manage all of your event vendors, your custom budget, as well as run sheets and event logistics. This means you can sit back and enjoy the fun stuff. Think of them as your event architects, building your dream day from start to finish.

What does our journey look like if we do not book a planner from The Goodsmiths?

If you decide not to include planning in your custom quote, this means you are opting to plan your big day yourself. You will receive an introductory email from our venue team with everything you need to know, and other documents to help you on your way. You will have one meeting which is held three months out from your date to go over all questions and catering details.

Can we do our own styling?

As part of The Trust package, you have a dedicated Stylist from The Goodsmiths. We love our couples expressing their style, so your Stylist will work with you to bring your vision to life.

Can I use candles at The Trust?

Candles are allowed on reception tables and on the bar surface. The candles provided must be covered on the bottom and sides for safety.

Where do suppliers eat at The Trust? Do I need to account for them on my seating chart?

Suppliers will eat separately to your guests. They can simply sit at a table in the cocktail space.

What if we want to change our custom quote once we have paid our deposit?

As long as you meet the minimum spend for your selected date, this is no problem.

If you opt for planning and styling, this will be locked in at the time of your booking. This ensures you are introduced to the right team and follow a seamless planning journey. Everything else can be updated and edited as you go.

If we use Anatomy of Flowers, is the floral process custom? We have specific colours, flowers, and looks we would like to use.

Of course! As part of The Trust package, you have a dedicated Stylist from The Goodsmiths who will collaborate with you to bring your vision to life, expressing your unique style.

Does the venue have speakers that our DJ or entertainment can connect to?

Guest experience is our ultimate priority. At The Trust, we’ve installed a state of the art sound ceiling above the dance floor that maxmises sound quality under the ceiling. As you move away from the dance floor, the music volumes decreases, allowing guests who’d prefer to watch the dance floor antics from their seat to enjoy good conversation without shouting over the music.

Who sets the floor plan provided by The Trust team?

Our internal team set the in house furniture as per your final floor plan. This is set and ready for you by the start of your bump in time.

CATERING FAQs

How are coffee and tea served?

Coffee and tea are available after dinner, from your bar area for guests to self serve.

What dessert is part of my package?

If you have dessert included in your package, it is Petit Fours. These are served as a shared item on platters to your reception tables.

What if I want a plated dessert, is this an option?

Absolutely, you can opt for a plated dessert (one option) or an alternate plated dessert (two options), at an additional cost to your package.

How is my wedding cake served?

If you have dessert included in your package, it is Petit Fours. These are served as a shared item on platters to your reception tables.

What if I want a plated dessert, is this an option?

The Nudo team will serve your wedding cake as part of your package. This is cut into coffee sized portions and placed on shared platters on your reception tables for guests to enjoy together.

What if I want my wedding cake served plated, if this is an option?

We can serve your cake in larger portions, plated per guest. This is an additional cost to your package.

Do you cater for all dietaries, and do I need to choose the dietary options?

Nudo cater for all dietaries, making sure all guests are fed with delicious meals to suit.

You are not required to choose dietary meals, our chefs will create the necessary meals to suit.

What is Chef’s Selection of canapés, can I choose my own canapés?

Our ‘Chef selection of canapés’, means the Chef will choose three seasonal options to suit your event.

If you would like to choose your own canapés, you can do so for an additional cost to your package.

Can I choose from the substantial canapes if I opt to choose my own canapés?

Substantial canapés are almost a main meal in themselves, which is why they are only available as an option within our cocktail packages.

I have a love of a specific cuisine, and want to add my own flare to my catering choices, is this possible?

Absolutely, we love to create custom menus specific to your food choices.

We can chat further when you start your journey with the Nudo team, to show you options and costs involved in a custom menu!

I have a favorite cocktail that isn’t part of your menu, can I choose a cocktail outside of the provided list?

Let us know what your favorite cocktail is and we will let you know if it’s possible – Keeping in mind any cocktails outside of the list provided are likely to come at an additional cost.

I am a wine lover and want to provide my own specific wines, is that possible?

It certainly is! We can customise your package to allow you to BYO your own wines.

How is the Artisan bread served?

The bread included in your package is a delish bread roll (one per person), which is placed on your guests’ side plates on your reception tables.

Can I have more bread served for my event?

We can do bread baskets in the middle of your tables for it to be more plentiful! Have a chat to your venue contact to discuss prices to upgrade your yummy bread.

What is the standard drink service?

During cocktail period, service is a mix of roving and bar service.

Throughout the reception, staff will be available to take guests’ drink orders from their tables, however bar service is also available.

WEDDING FAQs

How long do we have the venue for?

Your wedding package selection (e.g. catering package, if your ceremony is onsite etc.) will determine how many hours you have access to The Trust.

Your booking duration is inclusive of two hours set up and one hour pack down. The below are examples of full allocations.

Morning bookings are generally allocated between:

7.00am-1.00pm

Perfect for tying the knot, or a long breakfast and sparkling with your nearest and dearest.

Full wedding package bookings are generally allocated between:

3.00pm-12.00am*

Perfect for ceremony, reception and parties.

Please note a catering package must run alongside your venue booking.

*Closing time depends on the day of the week.

What can I expect on the day of my event?

The following is a sample run sheet of how a full wedding package might be timed.  Timings are however entirely dependent on your selected catering package, and other factors. Reach out to our team if you have any questions about the timing of your event.

How do we meet the minimum spend?

Once you’ve chosen your preferred wedding date and the catering package that suits you best, the team will talk you through approximate spends across planning, styling, floristry, design, stationery and signage, and photography and videography to meet the minimum spend of The Trust.

This is extremely flexible and is tailored to your individual requirements from our following experience brands:

CORPORATE FAQs

How long do we have the venue for?

Your package selection (e.g. half day or full day delegate etc.) will ascertain the amount of hours you have access to The Trust. Your booking duration is inclusive of one hour set up and one hour pack down. The below are examples of full allocations.

Morning bookings are generally allocated between 7.00am-1.00pm

Perfect for corporate breakfasts, half days workshops or charity brunch.

Afternoon bookings are generally allocated between 2.00pm-6.00pm

Perfect for team building, AGMs or workshops.

Full day bookings are generally allocated between 9.00am-5.00pm

Perfect for a full day of planning, an annual review or a training session.

Please note a catering package must run alongside your venue booking.

How do we meet the minimum spend?

Once you’ve chosen the package that suits you best and confirmed your event numbers, the team will provide you with a final quote. Our minimum spends are calculated based on event date, timings and package selection. Venue hire is included in the quote.

Can I add in Nudo experiences? 

Of course. Our team will work with you to establish the most cost-effective way to meet your requirements. This may involve a custom quote to include planning, styling, floristry, design, stationery and signage, or photography and videography.
